From a person that fell in love in the first half and had to leave to set up home somewhere new in the second!
I’ll cut the first half of the story: We all know I fell in love with Berlin. Found purpose in my first ‘proper job’, made a good gang of friends and went head over heels for a person or two. How cliché…
From someone who’s been there, done it and is about to start doing it again!
The single biggest stress of my year abroad, and that of most of my friends too has been accommodation. Whether it’s finding it, keeping it or hating it and having to start over again we’ve all gotten wrapped up in it one way or another and there have been some pretty low points!
One new house, 2 new courses, 3 new housemates, several nights out, a few forced-fun Intro week activities, a bike bought and a spell of concussion…it’s been busy. Time for a life update don’t you think!?
Christmas is over, we’ve eaten our weight in treats and had an argument over something in the kitchen. Now that the tree is down and the decorations have been packed away for another year we’re in the stagnant week after Christmas but before the New Year.
… Goodbyes are tricky.
